Re-Surfacing
Maggie and I were therapists. Together, I'm proud to say, we helped a lot of lost souls find their way; while over and over we humbly witnessed the humility of grace. Over a decade ago, cancer claimed my friend Maggie. She willed me her radiation mask, the plastic form that kept her head in place while the doctors treated the tumors attacking her brain. She made me promise to use my talent to "memorialize" her someday. So....here's to Maggie, who loved the sea, to all of you who bear up under the agony of disease, and for everyone of us who needs a moment to feel reborn.
